Hey everyone! I am a first timer and am due December 2-3. I live about 30min West of Toledo. Just wondering if there were any other first timers that are due around this time? My SIL connected with a group of ladies that were all due around the same time and they are still friends to this day. Thought it may be a nice way to give eachother support. I'm 25 and my husband and I will celebrate our 1 year anniversary this June. We have 2 dogs and live in the country.
Happy/Healthy pregnancy to all!
Re: First timers??
Hi!
I'm also a first-timer, due 11/20. We live down by Bowling Green, about 20 min south of Maumee, right along I-75. So how are you two doing? Have you done any shopping in Toledo for maternity clothes? The JCPenny at the Findlay mall doesn't have a maternity section, and I don't think the Kohl's or Sears do either. I'm thinking about planning a trip up to Toledo to that mall by Costco (I have no idea what the name is) and according to the web there is a Destinaton Motherhood (I think that's the name) store up there too.
There is a Destination Maternity @ Franklin Park/ Westfield mall. Their prices seemed to be on the high end. JC Penney @ FP does have a maternity section. Both the Kohl's by the mall and the one on airport hwy also have maternity sections but they are kind of small and hidden. The airport one is back behind the lingerie section. Target also has a maternity section. As far as pants go I prefer the fit from the ones I found at Kohls.
Who are you guys doctoring with and where are you delivering?? Im with Maumee OBGYN and will deliver at Toledo Hospital.
Hi,
I'm 31 weeks and live between Toledo and Maumee, but work in BG. We're due July 14th, but I'm measuring a week early. Getting pretty anxious for this all to be over. I'm in the uncomfortable stage right now. Went to see the doctor today for some lower pelvic pain. Dr. just said baby's head down and pushing into position.
I've been searching my whole pregnancy for reasonable maternity clothes. I ended up ordering online, because I have been to JCP, Kohl's, Target and when asked about their limited selection, they all told me to look online. So good luck! I also went to the Franklin Park Mall to see Motherhood Maternity and they are definitely on the pricey end. I just couldn't justify spending that much money when we have a new addition to provide for.
Getting pretty emotional too. My husband thinks I should talk to someone about all the symptoms and crying, so I figured I'd resort to blogging and see if anyone else can sympathize with me.
Good luck to everyone on their pregnancies!
earychener : I'm also delivering at the Toledo Hospital with Maumee OB/GYN. They've been great so far! I've had to call a couple times over the weekend and during the week and someone is always available or on call. I have Dr. Rhee. Who do you have?
Hello~
Another first timer here, due Nov 3rd.... I am 30 years old and living outside Bowling Green. My husband and I have been married for about 3 years. We are pretty excited about the up and coming bundle of joy. We find out on the 28th what we are having, and the suspense is killing me! LOL.... I go to Wood County Women's Care and will be delivering at Wood County....
Hello, and happy pregnancies!!!
I'm also a first time mom, but almost done (due July 4). For maternity clothes, I have some from all over. Old Navy on the corner of Airport Highway and Holland-Sylvania have maternity clothes, their shirts and dresses are cheap (in price) and they have a decent selection. Then next door at Babies R' Us they have maternity clothes (a smaller selection than Motherhood Maternity, but the same clothes). Their prices aren't too bad and if you join Rewards R' Us you get coupons in the mail which help too! Then Kohl's (also in the same shopping center) has some maternity clothes, I noticed their selection is much better now than it was when it was cold out.?
I hope your pregnancy continues to progress well! ?
Hi Ladies! I'm a FTM from Toledo as well (well, actually I live in Whitehouse). I'm due July 25th. Mrsrhinetobe & Pifer.31--why don't you hang out on the July board? There are some really great girls over there. Just be sure to introduce yourself--there's been some snark lately about newbies, but don't be afraid.
As for maternity clothes, I've gotten some from Old Navy (online), Kohl's and a few shirts from Target. I work from home, so I don't really need to buy a lot of new clothes because I basically live in PJs/sweats,etc. Also my neighbor just gave me a TON (like a rubbermaid tub full) of her old clothes now that she's done having kids.
I'd love to see this Toledo board get a little more action. I tried posting on here at the beginning of my pregnancy (looking for an OB) and got very little response. I haven't even looked at this board in months and just happened to stop by tonight. I started at Maumee OB/GYN & Toledo Hospital, but switched to a midwife and a freestanding birth center in Temperance.
H&H to all and GL!
Hello!! My husband of 2.5 years and I live here in Toledo, and are expecting our 1st child. We are due December 9!!! I am 33 years old and my hubby is 31. We will find out if it's a boy or a girl this month on the 29th...So Excited!!! Hopefully once we have found that out we'll get started on the nursery...we haven't done much with that yet. I figure we've got time.
