  Makes me think of an eye more then anything else.

  A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
  After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
  My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  I don't hate it, but the name reminds me of an old lady.

  But I loved Evelyn and my fiancee said that was old lady, so who knows..

  Love it. It's old-fashioned but still sounds sort of modern in style.
  

  Irises are also my favorite flower.

  I love this name.  Iris and Ivy are both on my long list, but unfortunately my DH isn't on board with either of them.  Still, I think Iris is lovely!  I honestly don't initially make the Goo Goo Dolls song connection, but it wouldn't bother me.

  My 13 year old sister is named Iris and I think it's beautiful! It's classic but still spunky and young. She has never been picked on foe her name and gets compliments often because of it. I think it is a great choice!

  This was my father's favorite flower and he featured them often in his stained glass windows so it has special meaning to me. 

  95% of me thinks it is a very pretty name, the other 5% thinks of eyeballs. be
