Whats the going rate for childcare in Dayton/Cincy area? I'm hoping my parents will be able to provide our child care but I want to give them something for it and I have no idea what would be appropriate. I'm thinking they would start from the time I go back to work, so when baby is 8 weeks on.....

On average, I would say $30/day/child (for in-home care).

At our original sitter, I was paying $30/day. At our current sitter, I pay $35/day.

Average for taking a child to an in-home is anywhere from $20-$40/day so roughly $30/day!

As other said $30 a day is the avg for in-home care. Of course sitters are able to charge so little because they are watching several children. If you can afford it I would offer a little more to your parents (if they would accept it).

We pay our sitter $180/week for our infant daughter. I think the price goes down once she's considered a toddler.

Can anyone recommend an in-home daycare for FT in any of the following locations: Blue Ash, Montogmery, Kenwood, sharonville, evendale, glendale, deerpark, or maderia. New to this and just not sure where else to look that I can trust.

We have a 4 month old and pay $145 for 3 days a week, and a 5 year old who is $70 for 3 days a week. She provides age appropiate education also so I don't have to pay for pre-school. We don't have anybody to help with DC, I am jealous! Just Kidding, but I would love it if my parents could watch my LO's.

Thanks everyone for the information. We really hope that the parents-watching-the-baby thing will work out for everyone. I just don't trust anyone these days. You hear so many horror stories!
