Your 3 week growth spurt. I think ds may be heading into his. He's cluster feeding like mad tonight and extremely fussy but I dont know if this is the growth spurt or just normal.

    During both the 3wk and 6wk growth spurts, my DS wanted to eat constantly... to the point of being attached to my boob for hours at a time.  He also was much fussier in between feedings (and he's already fussy, so it was a JOY!) 

    At the 3wk, he also would wake up in the middle of the night and not want to go back to sleep... he could have eaten all night.  By the 6wk, though, he did most of his eating during the day and only woke up twice for nightime feedings and then fell back to sleep pretty easily.

    I swear we're having a growth spurt every other day! Really, I have a heard time telling because there's been so many days where she eats WAY more than normal and she's so much crankier.

    my LO didn't seem to have a 3 week growth spurt...at least not one that made me notice a difference. Now that she's 6 weeks old though, what a difference! she's constantly eating as well, and is fussy during most of the day, especially since she's starting to stay awake more hours of the day. tonight is the first time she's slept for more than 3 hours at a time, however, i fully expect her to be up any minute now. i don't know how long these growth spurts last, but it would be nice to have my sleepy newborn back :)

    We've had a couple so far... one around 2.5 weeks and one at 3.5 weeks. Both lasted for a day or two, and LO basically wanted to be fed all.day.long. During the more recent one, he was literally on my boob from 4 pm to 10 pm. Toward the end I was crying because I was so exhausted and wondering if he'd ever stop eating and go to sleep. I was actually considering breaking out our emergency stash of formula just to give myself a break... but thankfully he fell asleep!

    Hang in there! Growth spurts aren't fun, but they don't last forever...
