Could someone define lurker PLEASE!

Hi, I've been on the Knot, The Nest and now The Bump. I didn't know I wasn't suppose to go to the board that I related to (November 2010 DD due date). So i guess I lurked and then went on the November 2010 board and 3 to 6 momths.... Oops. Was I suppose to come here first? Do I start over here and then baack to November 2010? What is the protocal here? Thanks

No one really "starts" here on this board (though there are some introductions here).

Lurker = reading posts but not replying.

You can post where ever you want, really, but it is nice to lurk first and get a feel for the board. Some board members have formed bonds and know most of the others on that board, so it is courteous to make an introduction.

Lurk on the board that you want to be on (ie. Nov. 2010, 3-6 months, Baby Names, Photography, etc) and then introduce yourself.

    Perfect answer!

I recommend lurking on the board you want to post on for a couple of days to see if you like it. If you do, post an introduction.

I see NTTB as a board where newbies can ask questions and meet other new posters.
