anyone else halloween lame?

I can't remember the last time I went and got a special outfit for halloween.  I've always just thrown something together from my closet (if I even had some reason to dress up). 

We're so lame!  Even though we're usually invited to parties, we almost never go! (well we usually have a good excuse, one year DH's mom died, last year DH worked, this year I'm on bedrest etc) but still we don't ever really do anything for halloween!

I hope our lameness streak ends it would be fun to get all dressed up and have somewhere to go!Big Smile

So that's it, we're halloween lame.  Anyone else? 

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     Just think, next year you'll have a little one to either trick or treat with or to help you hand out candy :)

    Yeah by the time we got discharged from the hospital, most of the trick or treaters weren't out anymore.

    This is the first year we are "Halloween lame," and I'm really depressed about it!  We always host a huge Halloween costume party, complete with a themed drink and costumes that we work on for weeks.  One year we were Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction, one year we were Wayne and Garth, and last year we were the tooth fairy and a little boy who lost his two front teeth.  This year I sooooo wanted to host a scaled-down party, but everyone convinced me not to.  It makes me so sad!

    i was so bummed that i had to turn my lights off to keep the kids away..but i was by myself, and trick or treat time is the boys bottle/bed time..so, i had to focus on them..

    so yep..didn't do a thing!?

    Ours was pretty lame too. We had absolutely NO trick or treaters. Now I'm going to have to eat all the candy myself....not good! :-)

    Ours was lame.  I can't eat any candy because of GD and was asleep by 10.

    I had people over for dinner but we had NO trick or treaters. I usually throw a big bash... so my halloween was quite lame comparatively.

    Mayday- starting in the next year or two, Halloween is going to hold a whole new kind of fun for you!  I remember the year I was pregnant with DD I ended up not wanting to decorate or anything just b/c I was so tired, etc.  But now it's a blast.  We had such a great night last night.  Went to a block party and then went trick or treating.  It's so cute to watch your little one run up to the door so excited and then remember to say thank you and happy halloween :)  Your snoozer Halloween will be one of your lasts!
