Thanks for the reco on the baby gate. Is this something that could easily be folded up and taken outside without being a pain? Is it very heavy?

    I asked DH..  He said it's not overly heavy but it isn't light either.  BRU's site says it's 36 lbs for the package.  (So I'm thinking about the weight of DS for me...  liftable, but I can't carry him for a ton of time).   

    When we set ours up, we usually left it in our living room.  If we moved it, dh moved it because I tend to be a clutz.   Anyway, in regards to your question about folding it up and moving it, the PNP is probably easier but it's doable.  I know BRU sells it... so maybe go and lift the box and see if it works (but remember it'll be somewhat easier to carry because the box is gone).
