I'd like to remove the nasty carpet in our living room, hall, master with wood floor & get new carpet for the kid's bedrooms too. I want someone who will install it with the least work involved for us. I can go to two different places too. Any suggestions on where to look?

Ugh, I feel your pain. We have gray carpet in our new house, and while it hides dirt, it is SO ugly! We also want hardwoods. My parents recently had Buddy's do their carpet in Cincy and they came in much lower than McSwain's.
We are thinking about doing the same thing, but since we are really not handy, we'll probably buy the laminate and have our handyman install it. Did you go with a higher-grade laminate? The laminate in our front hallway is pretty cheap, and while we could go with the same kind to match it and bring it into our kitchen, I am debating going with a higher-grade laminate and re-doing the whole area. I just can't decide.
We had the carpeting in our entire house replaced last summer and went with Flooring America (Buddy's Carpet). They did everything but haul the carpet away - we just put it out with the trash pick up (they would have taken it but it would have cost more money)
We were very happy with it and love our carpet. They do hardwoods too, but I'm not sure of the details on that since we did not do hardwood.
Good luck!
Thanks. We looked a little at Lowe's today. There are SO many choices!
