Louisville Restaurants

I know I posted about this a long time ago, but our plans fell through and I can't find the post...

I am meeting a friend at the Louisville zoo tomorrow with DD.  We want to go to dinner afterwards.  We want to go somewhere that is good, but cheap, but not fast food.  Any recos?  TIA!

Re: Louisville Restaurants

  • It's not a normal food restaurant but if you can fit in something sweet, you might try the Pie Kitchen.

  • It sounds like Lynn's Paradise Cafe (https://www.lynnsparadisecafe.com/) would be perfect. There's lots of entertainment for the kids, too. Have a great time!

  • Oh I second the pie kitchen for a treat! They have the most amazing meringue pies, with meringue that is about 8 inches high--so good!
  • For Pizza- head to Wicks!  Awesomeness! or Impellizerris!

Lynn's is a neat place, but there is food is just - well it's good for breakfast, really, I've never had dinner there, just breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Pie Kitchen is awesome for sweets.

    Other places that are good:
Chinese- Empress of China Man... that place rocks my world!
    Indian- Kashmir
Seafood- Kingfish (this is really the atmosphere and price- the food is good, but nothing you would write home about.  There are two locations on the river though).

You can email me or message me on facebook if you want any other suggestions.
