She has progressed overnight and is now 6cm and 100% effaced so they have decided to deliver. Stopped procardia and mag drip this morning and they're hoping to get to 6:30 tonight for the second steroid shot. Let's hope she can hold off! Her baby shower is tomorrow so she is excited that some of her close family members might get a sneak peak at an outside baby. She's also nervous, let's keep her and her LO in our T&Ps, thank you!

Hey folks... thanks again. And thanks Kathy for letting my peeps know what's up over here!

So yeah, looks like after the steroid shot they will see what happens overnight, and if I haven't progressed by the morning they may try to get stuff started. The risk is of infection since I am so dilated and my membranes are exposed. But they are really encouraged that my now about 6 lb baby will do well on the outside (will be a bruiser in the NICU, my nurse told me).

Weird random fact: My baby shower is tomorrow. I was born the day of my mother's baby shower for me (surprised everyone)!

Oh Kiki! It was good to see/hear you on here! Lets hope you can keep the tradition going and have LO tomorrow on YOUR shower! And family will be there to see the LO in PERSON! Sounds like you are in good hands and they feel all will be well! I think I can speak for all of us that you have been in the front of our minds all day! Can't wait to see pictures! Good luck for an easy, breezy labor!!! XOXOXO

good luck Kiki! What a fun fact about your Mom having you on her shower, now you might be doing the same (probably). Good luck and glad the baby is a 6 pounder already! YEAH!

My DD came at 35 weeks at 6 lbs 10.5 oz and everything was fine!
