Introducing myself again and a ?

Hi!  It's been quite a while since I introduced myself so I figured I'd do it again.  My DH and I have been married for 4 1/2 years and just recently had a little boy on 1/26.  We live in northern Butler County  and although I currently work, I hope to become a SAHM within the next few months.  I've lurked for a while because I've never really had anything to contribute, but I hope that will change now that I have DS.

Now on to my question.  Has anyone's DC had to have an ultrasound at Children's and know what the turn around time is for results?  I have to take DS to the Liberty campus at 8:30 tomorrow morning for an ultrasound and I'm wondering if there's a chance I'll get the results later that day or if I'll have to wait until Monday?  He has a small pocket of fluid on the crown of his head about the size of a quarter that the pedi doesn't seem too concerned with, but wants an ultrasound done just to be on the safe side.  My new mommy nerves are getting the best of me and I know I'll stress about it until I get those results.

    Hello and welcome! My DS had an ultrasound of his hips and I don't remember exactly how long it took but I think just a few days. I think we went in on a Friday and found out the following Monday or Tuesday? The hip ultrasound took a long time and they had to record a video of each hip, it took about 30 minutes total. I think the reason it took a few days for the results was because the Doctor had to watch the video- not sure how it will be for you. Hope it goes well!

    Hello and welcome!

    I would say Monday...unless your pedi ordered it stat.  If they did not you could always try to call them in the morn to see if they will.  GL!!

    DD had to have a brain ultrasound when she was an infant due to her head growth going off the charts for several months.  We had results from the pedi in 2-3 days.  Wishing you happy results.  Usually those turn out just fine, but it is best to take a looky and get answers instead of sitting on it for months.  Also, welcome back!  I hope you will stick around and post away.
