Before your water broke, how dilated were you at your last checkup?

I keep hearing stories of women who were 4 cm, 5 cm, etc and then the water broke days later.. I am curious to see for those of you who actually experienced your water breaking- How dilated/effaced were you the last checkup you had beforehand, and how soon after that checkup did your water break?

With DD I was 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced for three weeks before my water broke.

i wasn't even a fingertip dilated with DS1 and 2 days later my water broke. i've been walking around 3cm for almost 7 weeks now and no sign of this kid coming out!

1 cm, 50% effaced for two weeks. Water broke, when the checked me a couple hours later, I was at 3 cm, 80% effaced.

I had my 39 week appointment at 39 w and 2 days,and I was 1.5 cm dilated. This was at 1 p.m. At 6 p.m. my water broke, was checked at 7 p.m. and I was 4 cm dilated.

One of my friends had her 35 week check up at 35 weeks and 1 day, she was not even a fingertip. That night her water broke and she delivered the next day.

With both of my sons I had to have my water broke. they broke it, 5 min later I delivered....

Bored and lurking...

My last appt at 38.5wks I was 6cm. I went into labor hours later that night. When I got to the hospital I was 7cm. I was 9.5cm when the Dr decided to go ahead and break my water. 20 minutes later Mathieu arrived.
