NBR: Is this cheating?

This is a Weight Watchers question  :P

I hate the new points system.  I have too many points - I notice if I eat them all I don't lose weight.  How they give 29 points to someone who is 150 pounds or 125 pounds???

So I use the Etools, and track my food in the online journal.  And I have put something in called "Placeholder" and make it 4 points.  So that I only eat 25 points.  The old way (Flex) I ate 18 to 20 points a day.

And I've lost 2 pounds last week and one pound this week.  So it's working - but am I cheating the system?

I'm seriously considering putting another placeholder called "Fruit" and make it 2 again.  Because this fruit is zero points thing is awful!  That's too many calories that aren't considered.

In three months, I only lost 5 lbs, and that 5 lbs yo-yoed up and down the entire time. I think the new program is bunk, so I ditched it for something else. In 2 months, I am down 15 lbs. Cheat the system. It is obviously flawed!

Widespread rumor is that they only changed the program because too many outside parties had figured out their formula and were offering free tools. WW doesn't make money that way, so they devised this new program. The big problem is that a 150 lb person doesn't have the same caloric needs as a 125 lb person, so they shouldn't have the same points!! And fruits/veggies should not be free. 3 bananas or 3 apples can equal as much as 400 calories. The fact that they are free is ludacris!

Ditto all of this, that's why I left.  I found out just about everyone had 29 pts.  And 1 medium size banana is like 100 calories!  I did lost 11lbs though, but it was do to me changing my eating habits which I give credit to WW, but MFP is a million times better, and FREE....

    What's MFP?

The other thing th e"free" fruit was doing as messing up my insulin requirements (I have T1 diabetes).  It's free in one are, but not another?  I don't have the mental capacity for that and ended up with some dangerous highs from an apple and grapefruit cup.

I think I'm going back to the old system. It works for me, it works with me on keeping my blood sugar in check. The only problem is, I WANT to pay for something.  It's motivating.  I need to get my money's worth

  • MFP = myfitnesspal.com.... Seriously? No love for Ludacris banana? ...so sad
