what are you calling you baby?
currently we call it, baby or the bear after this cute book The Bear Wants More it is about this bear that eats and eats and still wants more. Our last baby was called monkey.
Just wondering what nicknames everyone has given to their babies.

being the creative people we are, we just call it "baby" or "the baby"
same w/ DS, we didn't know if it was a boy or girl. We still called him "the baby" for at least 3 or 4 days, until my mom yelled at me.
Then I called him "little man" for a while, b/c it seemed weird to call him a real name! So I don't think it matters whether you get a nickname or not... it'll be weird to call them something real whenever (unless you do the naming in utero, which we do not).

Our family of 5 is complete!! Love our boys!
We call it monster (my idea since due date is around Halloween) sometimes and noodle (DH's idea and I have no clue how he came up with this) other times.
Even before getting pregnant, we always called babies/small kids "little person" Ex: If we saw a baby/kid with a cool outfit on we would say "Look at the shirt on that little person" or "That little person has a cool toy"

We use baby.
My mom refers to the baby as peanut jr. because she has always called me peanut.
We call ours "Em" (short for Embryo)...DH came up with it the week I told him the baby was now considered an Embryo and it stuck.
DH and I really don't have a nn, we just say "the baby".
However, I'm a supervisor at work and my team calls it "waffle jr." because DH is the district manager for Waffle House. I made the mistake of telling DH and he HATES it but I think its perfect.
OMG I love their 90 minute IPA. I miss hops
Before we started trying, my nanny kid (who was about to turn 3) said that my SO and I were going to have a little girl and her name was going to be Patches. Low and behold, we got pregnant that same month and found out that we were due in October....pumpkin patch season. So we have always called it Patches (even before we noticed the Patches/October connection).
We are Team Green so if it ends up being a girl.....this kid must have had an intuition or something!
That's cute. We call the baby "Peanut", because when we found out I was pg the baby was the size of a peanut. It just stuck. So it's our little Peanut too.
