Just curious.

DH & I are going to be starting next month. Originally our plan was to not TTC or TTP and just see what happened, but I am worried that it will take forever to actually get pregnant if we don't specifically try to have sex during ovulation. Anyway, how long did it take you to get a BFP?

Re: How long did it take you to conceive?
with DD we just decided to stop preventing. first month.
#2, same thing, but I m/c at 15 weeks
#3, 4 months of actively trying including charting and OPKs.
my read shelf:
After 5 months of timed intercourse, we found out (thanks to my very pro-active OB) that DH had severe MFI (male factor infertility- low count, motility and morphology) and the chances of us conceiving on our own was about .02% each month.
Hoping things are quick for you, but don't be afraid to ask initial/non-invasive testing if it isn't. I would hate to think how much time we would have "wasted" if we waited the traditional 1 year of trying before getting any testing done.
Well, I went off the pill in December with DD.... but we were pretty much in the middle of moving to MN and barely saw eachother. Once we were together again, it happened fast.
With this one... two months after I stopped BFing....
It took 10 mos with #1 and 16 mos with #2. However, I was also diagnosed with PCOS, which complicates things.
I know how hard it is to actually do this, but really, try to just have fun and not overthink the process.
The second month, but I wasn't paying attention to ovulation or anything.
Same as PP. Been on birth control for more than 10 years; 33 years old-got off pill on April 21, 2010 - found out I was pregnant 5/31- conceived May 5...less than two weeks. I think it all depends....I feel fortunate. I didn't think it would happen for at least 6 months...b/c people say that when you've been on the pill forever....
I have several other girlfriends not as lucky-some have been trying for more than a year...:(
