My mom gave me a rocking chair for the nursery to nurse in... I am debating whether or not to spend the money and get a glider/ottoman instead (and use the rocker in another room). I have a chance for a second-hand glider/ottoman for around $100.... Is this money well spent or is the rocker just fine for nursing? Was it something you wouldn't do without? Thank you in advance!

Re: 2nd Time Moms who breastfed ...question
For $100, I think it is worth it. As baby got older, I started nursing everywhere in the house. But especially in that first month or two, I lived in the glider. It was just comfortable to have all my nursing stuff in one place, and the chair was set up to support my back well as I nursed. Also, everytime people came over, it was great to have a comfy place to retreat to and nurse my son.
A rocker is fine, but for the time I spent in that chair in the first couple of months, I would go for something comfy.
GL!
This, exactly! But now that DD's older, we do bedtime snuggling and reading in it every night. We actually got a La-Z-Boy so we'd be able to fit in it for bedtime stories even after DD gets bigger.
We have a rocker (borrowed from my parents) in the nursery but I could never nurse in it very comfortably because the arms were not padded and I couldn't really get the Boppy to fit correctly. My go-to nursing spot was the wingback chair in our living room. The arms were the perfect distance apart.
To answer your question, I would definitely spend $100 on a used glider. I kind of wish we'd said no to my mom's offer of the rocker, honestly.
This. I love our glider. It is in DS room so I didn't use it as much as the couch for feedings but still got a lot of use!
I love my rocker, but the way it is built, it was not good for nursing. I really want a glider with ottoman this time around that looks kind of like a recliner for our living room.
I will say I plan on keeping my rocker because it worked so much better for rocking DS to sleep.
