Teeth grinding?

Any tips on how to get LO to stop this? Argh, the sound makes my toes curl, and I'm assuming it can't be good for those little teeth either. It seems like if I react to it, she thinks it's funny and does it more! Thanks!

Re: Teeth grinding?

  • I think it's just part of getting used to having teeth. Annoying though, both girls did it and it drove me up the wall. I haven't found anything to stop them from doing it but they do stop eventually.

Normal. Totally disgusting noise though!! Ben actually wore little divots into his teeth. Cooper didn't do it as much. I tried sticking my finger in Ben's mouth to make it stop. Not sure it helped. But eventually they stop. The dentist was not concerned.

  • Ugh, K does this and it makes me shudder every time.  We use a binky, so I just give her a binky every time she's grinding and that usually distracts her.  I have to work to not react because I think she thought it was funny.
