DS is 3 months now and I just started this week and so far it has been very succesful. I tried at 2 months with no success, but instead trasitioned him from sleeping in my bed to sleeping in his swing. Starting with naps and working up to overnight. I have always layed in his crib for at least a little bit each day for him to play or look at his mobile so that he would be familiar with it. This week I started putting him in his crib with quite music playing and I pat his chest until he is almost asleep then start backing away from the crib so far it has worked. I can lay him down for his naps awake and he goes to sleep no crying invlolved.

amazing! i cannot see this happening with DD these days!!!!!
is it normal, in your attachment parenting lens, to have DD feed every 2 hours (she is 4 months) ?
What is normal for you LO may not be 'normal' for someone else's LO. That being said, DS nursed every 2 hours around the clock pretty consistently until around 7 months. He is 10 months now, and sometimes he still wants to nurse every 2 hours. If he's hungry, I feed him.
I have no advice on crib transfer as we are still bed sharing. We did side car his crib, but he doesn't spend much time in it.
