I'm 34 weeks today, and will be stopping my procardia in 1-2 weeks. I've been on 10mg every 6 hours since my 3 day L&D stay at 24 weeks for PTL/shortened cervix. I'm on a pretty lenient modified house/bedrest, and they will be increasing my activity at the same time they stop the procardia. FWIW - I missed a dose a few days ago and had a ton of contractions - took it, and within the hour things quieted down. Other than this, I just have random BH.
My question is - if you took Procardia during pregnancy for PTL/contractions - how long after stopping it did you deliver? How far along were you? If baby wasn't full term - what complications/issues did baby face?
I know everyone is different - but so far the only 2 people I've heard from delivered 8-24 hrs after stopping Procardia, and I want baby girl to bake until 37/38 weeks (at least!). Thank you - and hope its okay to ask this here, just trying to prepare myself.

I also delivered on procardia...I started at 28 weeks and gave birth at 31 weeks. I truely believe this is why...my dr said to wing myself off the procardia at 30 weeks by taking half the doses that week...I did ... she said if I feel contractions to take one...I did...then early Monday morning water broke and that was it...so I would say if procardia is working for you keep on it until 37 weeks. Unless there is another issue?
