Its been a long, long time since I posted on here. I was wondering though if anyone has experience w/ the Center for Women's Health in Camp Hill. What do you think of it? Does anyone have personal experience w/ Daggs, Stegman or Cudihy? And lastly does anyone know anything about NaPro Technology (its used for recurrent pg loss)? I'm wondering because they are the only ones in the are that use this "method". Thanks!

Re: Center for Women's Health in Camp Hill
I go to the center for women's health. I picked this group because I have had several close friends use them and have been present for a birth by one of the doctors. Dr. Daggs delivered the baby I was present for. It went very well even though the epi did not take for my friend. The nurses were so kind and helpful at Holy Spirit. My other friend's little girl was delivered by Cudihy and she also had a good experience but I wasn't actually present for that one.
I haven't heard anything negative about the Dr's or about Holy Spirit yet. I'm really looking forward to having my LO there. Private rooms and no going back and forth between a L&D room and a recovery room.
I don't know anything about the NaPro technology though.
Good luck!

I'm new to the Center for Women's Health - I went there because my family doctor referred me when we found out I was pregnant. So far it's been OK - only had two appointments so far, the first with a midwife and the second with Dr. Manning, who I liked very much. I am disappointed that I'm having to do to a seperate imaging center for my anatomy scan on Monday, which means I won't be able to find out the baby's sex during the ultrasound. I'll have to wait for the technician to send the results to my doctor so she can tell me. Dumb privacy rules. Had I known about that beforehand, I might have looked for a place where the doctor could do or be present for the ultrasounds.
That's odd...They told us right there we were having a girl. I haven't heard of that before. It may not hurt to ask the u/s tech anyway what the sex is. The first thing our u/s tech asked was if we wanted to know.
Which imaging center are you going to? We just went to the one right there by the hospital. They were so nice and gave me a carnation after. I cried my eyes out LOL

I agree with you...that is very odd. We were told what we were having from the u/s tech and went to the imaging center right next to Holy Spirit.
Anyway, I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about Center for Womens Health. I LOVE them!!! I spent a lot of time there since I was on progesterone shots for 27 weeks. Dr. Daggs handled my miscarriage when I was in the ER...she was wonderful! Dr. Manning is awesome too. I really liked all doctors and midwifes.
I had a great experience delivering at Holy Spirit....great nurses, great rooms, great care.
Good luck!!
I have NOTHING bad to say about the Center for Women's Health. They have been absolutely wonderful. DH and I had two miscarriages under their care and they are so compassionate and carrying. I am 7 months pregnant and having some issues with preterm labor and they have been absolutely wonderful. I also love all the midwifes at the center. I've been very vocal about my wants for natural birth and they are happy to comply with all I have on my birthing plan. (Which really surprised me)
About the ultrasound thing. Just like the other two PP they asked if I wanted to know the sex and I said yes. The ultrasound tech was so nice and explained to us everything we where looking at. It was very educational. They also gave me a carnation afterward.
I would highly recommend the Center for Women's Health.

And I should add that the nurses there are SO nice, and the atmosphere is very positive and happy.
I think the general policy is that if they see something potentially wrong they can't say anything one way or the other. I'm pretty sure they'll tell you the sex if you want.
