You know how people say you show earlier with your second? Yeah......I haven't gained any weight but almost none of my regular pants fit anymore and I have a definite noticeable baby bump/bloat going on. With DS I hid it til about 15 weeks with heavy sweaters and hoodies, etc. This time around, I am sticking out more and its only getting warmer, while I am looking like a fool sitting here with my hoodie on when my office is like 80 degrees. Eek.
I did buy a couple of loose spring-y tops from Kohls (thanks Kathryn) but they even cling to my belly if I am not careful.
Re: I am not going to be able to hide my bump much longer
When are you planning on coming out at work? I didn't come out until I was like 18 weeks along. I sit behind a desk most of the day and when I did have to get up I'd throw on a cardigan or carry something in front of me like they do in TV shows
And honestly unless you're close with your c/w they are totally oblivious. I have a VERY obvious baby bump now and people are like omg you're pregnant?? And I'm like are you kidding?? Do you see this?!?!
HA!! I guess you just have to decide which you'd rather have them gossip about because c/w rules stipulate they have to gossip about something.
I'm glad I waited to tell because I've gotten more strange looks, belly rubs, and inappropriate questions anywhere else and it's only been 2 weeks.
I wouldn't actually say anything until you feel like it, if people want to be bold (and IMO rude) and ask "when are you due" then they will. I don't think I showed at all until like 22 weeks, I was still wearing regular jeans with the hairband/rubber band trick, but started wearing maternity work pants at maybe 15 weeks. Do you have any wrap sweaters that you can just wrap when you get up or are walking around? And hey, if they are thinking "she's really letting herself go" then they are going to feel like total a$$es when they find out you're PG.
I didn't come out at work until I was ~13 weeks PG and since I'm not that thin to begin, I didn't think you could tell at all. Ummmmm - apparently, I was all kinds of wrong. And, people had been speculating about my PG based on my walk (starting w/ male boss's boss - who I rarely interact with, but his wife has had 4 kids).
FWIW - you tell whenever you want! People can think what they want
LOL, love it.
I came out around 12-13 weeks because I wanted to come out to other people in my life who knew some of my CWs and figured it'd be easier to just tell everyone at once. I wish I would have waited until 14-15 weeks because the amount of belly rubs and obnoxious comments I've gotten is ridiculous, and I could have held them off for a few more weeks. I started getting a belly/bloat around 15 weeks but didn't really start looking really pregnant until 20 weeks.
Babies of all sexes accept gift cards.
I came out at about 18 weeks. I don't think anyone suspected.

Actually, no, that they have actually been pretty supportive of. I think because I work with mostly women who are grandmothers and older, they think that's how it "should" be done. But they also have a LOT of other opinions on pregnancy and child-rearing that they like to share and I try to tune out...
I came out around 12 weeks, but people were guessing before then. I definitely had bloat early on and my damn boobs that blew up the second I was pregnant gave me away.
PS - On the boob topic, I bought my nursing bras this past weekend and holy crap based on the size I had to buy I my husband was VERY happy. I am terrified how they're going to look once I am done bfing.

I'm not out at work yet. It's only my first, but I was in really good shape from doing an Ironman triathlon in November, and I gained like 4-5 pounds right away (holding steady since then). My "normal" pants are waaaay too tight, so I've gone to the back of the closet to the pre-triathlon pants and am willing to let people make the assumption that I've just gotten fat since Ironman. :-)
There's a big project at work that will terminate about 2 weeks before my EDD, and I don't want to be overlooked for a bigger role in the project simply because of the possibility that I will be VERY pregnant. Is that wrong?
Baby Girl #2 is on her way!
At 20 weeks I've gone up a band size and almost 2 cup sizes
Ditto. And one week before your due date they size you based on going up another size each way to determine your size while nursing. It's insane!

OMG my boobs got huge. Ridiculously huge and I hated them. I went from a small B to a large D or even DD. But then I have a good friend who BF'd and her small B's only went up a teeny bit.
