Starting to get ready to go back to work next week
It's official - I am going in for two days next week. My boss notified my coworkers and I've started getting copied on emails about things that I will need to be thinking about on my first day back. During J's loooonnngg nap today I actually answered some emails and did some brainstorming. My work brain cells are rusty!
I'm a little jealous that DH gets to spend time with him for the next few months. I feel like we've started a pretty good nap routine in the past week or so (when it works) and he's slowly improving from a colicky, screaming, grumpy boy to a less colicky, crying, grumpy boy who smiles huge smiles at us when we change him (the changing table is his happy place, apparently).
I am hoping that I can get a work-from-home day once a week or once every two weeks, so I can hang out a bit with him. I am lucky--one of my peers at work just came back from mat. leave a month ago and she has given me some great tips for transitioning back.

Good luck going back, I'm sure it won't be easy but maybe it will be a nice break from the fussiness for a while?
I had to laugh a little because for some reason my DS also loves the changing table...he doesn't love to be changed, but he definitely smiles the most and seems the most content on it. One particularly fussy day I debated letting him sleep there! Glad your naps are getting longer and better too - that's such a struggle for me!
