Looking for a bra shop

I used to go to this place back home. They carry sizes from tiny /12 an A cup to j-k and bands from tiny to very large.

I've got a larger band and a g-h cup. I can't just go anywhere to buy a bra and I hate to order online since I never know if it's a g or h I'll need.

So from san jose to san francisco (I could cross the bridge), any one know an intimate apparel shop?

And go!

Re: Looking for a bra shop

  • I'm not in the area, so I wouldn't be able to help. But, for my last bra purchase I decided to check Lane Bryant! I have a large band and cup size too and had already been to two bra specialty shops. The selection and prices, left more to be desired. So I decided to give Lane Bryant a try. I am so, so happy with these bras. They measure you and are so helpful! I had tried buying bras from them a few years ago and it was a totally different experience. I ended up with bras I never would of chosen for myself and they are sooooooo comfortable. I am the happiest I have been with bras EVER! Plus, they usually have a BOGO.

This is what I've been wearing and I am so happy! I can now wear different blouses without wearing a tank or some other way to hide my huge bra!

  • pre baby I got them there, but the girls never shrank back down and they only carry f's in the store, so i'd be ordering online, I'll have to check if I can return to the store. I hate double paying for shipping. :

    Thanks for the tip!

  • I tried Lane Bryant as well but they start off with the band size higher than I need, I need a 34 :( A friend of mine told me there is a boutique in Los Gatos but she didn't know the name. She said the prices are very reasonable and they usually have matching bottoms which are hard to find in larger sizes.

My last one I bought at Nordstroms for the larger cup, I have the same problem you have with not knowing which cup will work since it varies among brands. Anyhow, I really like it but I paid $90.00 for one. So worth it for me because at this point, I just want one part of my body to be comfortable while preggo.

  • I'm on the site now (they have a $20 of $40 coupon right now) and it says free shipping to store and $7 to your home!

    Good luck!

  • There is a place in Fremont called Bras for Body and Soul. They carry larger sizes and are very friendly and helpful.

  • How about Nordstrom? I recently went there to be fitted and they were super helpful and got me in the correct size.

  • I have had the best luck with Nordstrom's bra department. I went from a DD to H cup with this pregnancy and they are the only place that has been able to fit me correctly.

  • I also rec Nordstrom's. But if you're still looking for more recs and PKW doesn't chime in here, page her! She's got some good info that would likely help.
