Experience with Memorial Hermann - Memorial City

I was curious if anyone had any opinion or experience with this location for delivery? I love my doc and this is where she delivers, so I'd love to hear some advice on this location. I am only 11 wks, so have not toured yet or looked into any other hospitals. I appreciate any feedback...thanks!

I'll be delivering here too... in Aug/Sept! I havent had a tour of the facility or anything but that too is where my OB delivers. Who is you OB? Im with Dr Levin.
You can book a free tour to see the facility at any point - look on the website at classes available. There are usually lots of dates. We havent done it though.
I have however experienced the surgical out patient side there and they were fantastic. I have no complaints... well except for the reason for the surgery which was a D&C. But they were all very caring and looked after me well and it was all well set up.
I'd be interested in hearing anyones feedback too on the delivery side though!!
I had both my kids there and had a wonderful experience. The nurses are super nice. My OBGYN is also Dr. Levin and I love her!

I have a friend that had a bad experience there, so I'm a little nervous. But, it's good to hear some good reviews. And, of course I will take a tour and hopefully see for myself. Thanks for the advice about the epidural...I don't think I want a resident for that. I am seeing Dr. Erica Roberts...I haven't been going to her for long, in fact, only a few visits. But so far, I really like her. She is young, but really listens and takes the time you need so you never feel rushed. I also really like that I've never had to wait long for my appointment! Every other OB I've gone to I've had to wait over an hour before seeing. I understand things happen, etc, but ridiculous when that's the standard. Especially since I work and would have to take nearly half a day for an OB visit.
I guess there are always going to be the odd bad review for everywhere... but im glad there are good ones too! Good to know about the epidural!!
Im glad you like your OB tbaban, that is quite important! Dr Levin has been great with me, after my m/c last year she has saw me every 10d - 2w in T1 this pregnancy which really made me relax a bit!.... cant wait for my u/s this friday!!
Yes there are always going to be waits, I mean... who knows when a baby is going to come! And one day it'll be me/ you after all! But as you said it shouldnt be all the time... and so far Ive been ok, Ive only had a couple of times when there have been long waits...

I'll be delivering there in May and so far I've only heard wonderul things from several people I know who have delivered there. They will give you an epidural at any point, so you can have one right up to delivery if that's when you decide you need it. They are also very breastfeeding friendly and encourage rooming in, if that's what you want.
I've had to wait for my doctor a couple of times but I never mind. Every time it's been for some type of emergency during delivery. If something happens duirng mine, I want him there with me, not in his office examining someone else who can bear to wait a bit. Sorry!
Thanks so much for all the feedback! This is my first, so everything is pretty scary right now. I'm also 36, so I have all the wonderful genetic testing concerns to consider and decide what I should do and how far I should go. So, anytime I can get input from others, it helps!
I'm sure I will be posting more questions as time progresses. Good luck to everyone expecting and congrats to all the new moms!
