Pflugerville peeps - need your help

So, you all might have seen a post a month or so ago from me about my parents looking for a house-sitting gig, so they can be near Ruby. Long story short, there's a guy that works on their house who has a daughter who lives in Pflugerville. She's a teacher, and she's going back to Memphis for the summer. When my parents told him they were looking, he called and asked her if she wanted them to stay in her apartment for the summer. She said yes. Done.

So they are of course very excited, and they'll be coming on June 1. Any recs for fun things to do in Pflugerville, ways to meet older folks (they are 65), or volunteer organizations they could join? They will of course be seeing Ruby and taking care of her some of the time, but I'd also like to help them find other things they might be interested in in Pflugerville.

I don't know first hand, but I've heard that the Pf Senior Center has a ton of great activities.

If they contact a school now, they are in need of volunteers more now than ever.

Obviously, there are a ton of churches with different needs.

There's ROCK (which I believe is in Georgetown) that works with horses and children with disabilities.

There has been a push lately for some fundraisers to help a 1st grader at Murchison Elementary who is battling cancer, and there is always a need for volunteers to help with those efforts.

Pflugerville's a community with something always going on. Have them get on the Community Impact and Pflugervill Pflag websitse or mailing lists.
