Overshare.... It's super painful for me and DH to get intimate. I have talked to my doctor about this and she doesn't seem to think that it's IUD related. I have gone in and had it checked and it's in the right place, but I will even bleed if we get a little rough in the sack. I am thinking about getting it taken out - but I love the security it gives me. Is it possible that I'm so uncomfortable due to having a child?? (forgive me if this sounds ridiculous! She's my first and I know your body changes alot after having a baby) I don't want to get it taken out and still have all these crazy things going on... (LOW libido, weight gain, painful sex, bleeding, ect)

It took a LONG time for sex to not hurt. For a while, I was terrified to try because of how much it hurt. Are you BFing? My doctor told me, in my case, that painful sex was likely due to me bfing. From what I was told, once my daughter stopped nursing as frequently, I would start feeling "normal" again.
I feel like some women get back to normal quicker than others. It depends on how your body adjusts after having the baby. I don't know much about IUDs, though.
