I think it is ridiculous to vent about your husband on TB. I understand the occasional "gah DH pissed me off for a superficial reason" post.
But, I find it crazy to complain about your husband cursing you out, refusing to help with the baby, banning you from doing things, etc.
The only thing that comes out of posting things like that is making your husband look like an ass and making you look like a complete fool for putting up with it.
I also cannot stand people that opening talk trash about their spouse to IRL friends on a regular basis. Be a joint front in public or don't be married.
I realize no marriage is perfect but bad mouthing each other in public or on the internet is just asking for trouble, IMO.
I don't feel bad for people who's marriage isn't working out if they never talked about major life decisions/changes before they tied the knot. You have to be pretty damn delusional to get married before talking about finances, kids, property ownership, and probably even untimely death.
Remember when teachers, public employees, Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS crashed the stock market, wiped out half of our 401Ks, took billions in TARP money, spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico, gave themselves billions in bonuses, and paid no taxes?
Yeah, me neither.
What the hell does the bailout & stimulus have to do with spending money on more shiz? Yea corporations suck so lets increase the deficit! Yea!

I don't really have a problem with people venting. Of course I don't know anyone who does it regularly. I however, NEVER EVER *** about my spouse to other so everyone thinks he is perfect, which is annoying in its own way.

You know, I have always wondered how to word this exact same UO, and you did it perfectly. I couldn't agree more. I know everyone needs a place to vent, but to me, ragging on your spouse on here is so incredibly disrespectful. I mean the serious venting, not the "ugggh DH didn't hear the baby".
I have AtelierMethod-level opinions on babies and TV, particularly the Baby Einstein DVDs.
This is me but instead of tv, I'm this way with RF your carseat. My child will be RF until she is 40 lbs or the height limit. I don't care if she is 5. I'm the parent and if it makes it 75% less likely that she will die or get seriously injured, that's what I'm doing. I don't think it is a parenting choice like bf/ff, cio or not, wm/sahm, etc. It is a proven SAFETY measure FFS, just do it.
I also love how Listerine burns my mouth. Mouthwash without alcohol doesn't work.
And I wholeheartedly agree with you too. That "burning" sensation makes my mouth feel and tingly and clean when I'm done. The stuff w/o alcohol just makes me feel like I sucked on a nasty mint.
I don't think little kids need chocolate. All of my in-laws are OBSESSED with giving kids chocolate. I'm SO, SO happy DD hates it and I'm praying DS will too. It literally makes me nauseous watching my 18 month old nephew walk around saying "N&M's" and seeing the chocolate smeared on his face as he eats them while downing chocolate milk in his sippy. I also feel the same way about soda, which he also has regularly.

Can I add religion? I have two friends desperate for babies right now but they are different religions from their spouses - neither discussed this before marriage and figured it would "just work out". Uhm. Right.

I agree with this. DH and I have the personalities where we tease each other and give each other a hard time. That's just how we are. But we don't all out bash each other in public. We're partners and we will work out major problems amongst ourselves.
I think small vents are OK, but I do think it's weird when people completely rag on their spouses.
I really like the posts where people say "Brag about your DH!" Because I feel like I have a lot to brag about with him and I'd rather post in that thread.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...

OMG! This is me with my inlaws too! My DS is allergic to nuts so I have to avoid and although it sucks, its nice to have a reason so they can't slip him some while I'm not looking. My nieces are the same as your nephew. Its insane to me!

Ew. I completely agree.
At my other nephews birthday party this past weekend my MIL and SIL wanted to give my son chocolate cake! I said absolutely not. He's not even six months old! I can't get him to eat Oatmeal, why would I give him chocolate. Idiots...

My 3 year old loves chocolate and she calls them n&ms too! She has to eat a healthy dinner or lunch whatever time of day it is first. I never give her pop though!

Don't you know? Kids NEED sweets, without sweets they'll never have a fulfilling childhood! Vegetables are for grown ups!!!1!

I think this is more of a confession but, I'm realizing that a lot of my ill feelings towards my ILs are due to my control issues - not always because of them.
Realizing this has made our relationship much better.
Since I don't have my own today, I will piggy back.
Any Holiday candy is a waste of money. I have Easter bunnies and Christmas candy in my freezer because my child won't eat it. This Easter the bunny is bringing a DVD, Outdoor spring games (jump rope, bubbles) and a Spring outfit. I would rather put money out on things that will be used. Kirstin is getting 1 cloth diaper and a stuffed bunny with the year on it. (Quote fail)
I will add on to LCB's UO too. I hate the couples who have public facebook break ups (nasty status and all). And then a day later I see on my feed that they are engaged.
I also think it is silly that they get offended when you're not happy they are back together. Especially after they tell you he has hurt you and yelled at their kid. <vent over>

My MIL thinks it's seriously a tragedy that her granddaughter hates chocolate.

When I see people doing crazy things with their children on TV or in public. I really should mind my own business and not judge but it makes me nuts.
Example - I watched "Sister Wives" last night on On-Demand. It was the epsiode from this past Sunday. The newest child, who I am sure is not more than 1, was trying to eat pizza. This made me crazy.
I love my friend, but she has a 1 year old and has yet to feed her what I consider "real" food. She still buys Gerber food, like soft, cut up carrots. Really? You can't steam some carrots yourself and cut them up for your kid? And then she b!tches on fb about how her daughter won't feed herself.
She has a weight problem and keeps saying how she hopes her daughter doesn't have the same problems. I want to yell at her to freaking cook!! And make your daughter food!
And I'm in no way judging parents who don't make their own baby food. I'm saying once your kid is past purees, I think they should get homemade food.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...
I really liked my MIL - way more than my own Mom who truly is BSC and not in a good way. My MIL passed away in March 2009 from cancer so I feel kinda sad when I see so many MIL bashers on here.

I'm so sick of this facebook status:

Ditto. She's awesome.
ETA: My MIL, that is. I'm sure yours is awesome, too, though!
Agreed. Is it October yet? It makes me sad that it is April and already so dang hot.

I think most Apple products are overrated, specifically the iPhone and iPad.
