March 2011 Moms

A few of my favorite things...

What is you LO doing that you love??

I love watching her stretch and make her little faces when she's waking up- it makes me laugh every time!

I also love that she's really starting to focus and follow us with her eyes.  And I think I got a real smile yesterday too!!

Re: A few of my favorite things...

  • Aaron is still young, so he's not "really" smiling yet..but his smile is crooked and so cute.  I really hope it continues to be that way.  I also love the way he bunches up into a ball and sleeps on my chest.

  • He is cooing up a storm! And smiling all the time. You can actually feel a connection with him because he makes eye contact and follows your voice/face. And his eyes are no longer crossed!

My LO is doing this on me right now! I love it-- it sorta reminds me of when I was pregnant with him.

I also love the times of day when Benjamin is wide awake and his eyes are wide open, and he's just looking around and taking everything in.

I also love when he starts crying and I pick him up and he calms down instantly... it feels good to be so comforting to him.

  • hmmm, i'm a sap so i love everything sadie's doing:)  lets see, i love when she nuzzles into me when she's nursing.  i love the smiles that i know she saves only for me (and the curtains, lights, picture frames).  i love it when she copies me in sticking out our tongues.....

I forgot to add that one!  DH had him last night and he was crying up a storm and wouldn't calm down.  I came over and picked him up and started talking to him and he relaxed right away.  I kind of felt bad for DH..but still happy that I make him happy :-)

  • I love that my girls are starting to interact with each other.  When they wake up in the PnP after their mid morning nap, they will take turns kicking their feet really hard against the mattress. Yesterday, as I was changing a diaper in the nursery, the other one was fussing in the living room in her bouncy, so when I came back to the living room, I held her sister over her and she gave her this big giant smile!  It brought tears to my eyes!!

  • I love that she smiles when I talk to her.

And I love watching her gaze at daddy while he gives her a bottle.  She just started taking a bottle from DH and it's so precious!

  • I love EVERYTHING. I'm not sure how I have waited 23 years to be a mommy. It's the best feeling in the world. I LOVE when she's crying and she stops when I pick her up.. I feel so needed.

Also, I got in the bath with her a couple of nights ago because I had heard it will calm them down during that time. She would literally SCREAM during baths and I felt horrible...she didn't let out one cry when I was in with her. (I could cry just thinking about this!) And it's bath night tonight...momma's excited!!

Another thing, I've had some serious trouble breastfeeding/pumping but I love that she NEEDS my milk to survive. Ya know? I mean.. I know she can have formula, but what keeps me from just giving up is knowing that it's the best for her. Keeps me determined!

  • I love the rare occation that DS has his eyes open while he's feeding.  Generally he latches on and closes his eyes but when they're open he has this look of total happiness.

I also love his poop face.  It cracks me up everytime.

  • I love that he's SO SMILEY! Especially first thing in the morning when he sees me. It melts my heart. I know they say babies recognize their moms right after birth, but NOW I really feel it.
