Musical guilty pleasure

Ok, I just heard that one of my guilty pleasure musical artists is coming to town.  I wish it was something semi cool like bieber or KNOTB but it's not, it's much, much worse.  I'm totally embarrassed but I crank up his music and sing my head off when no one else knows, except dh, he can deal with it.

Do I go see him?  Risk being recognized by someone I know and permenantly humiliated?

Re: Musical guilty pleasure

  • I feel as if I cannot fully judge you without artist disclosure.

And um, if they see you there, they're guilty themselves. Just sayin.

  • I agree...you MUST divulge who it is before we can judge!  Stick out tongue

But...if you like him I say who cares!  Go and have fun!

  • If someone sees you at the show - they are a closet fan too so who cares! Go have fun. I have been to so many shows, I was at a Rick Springfield concert with 10000's of other screaming 30-40 year olds and had so much fun re living my youth. Just Do it!

  • well, the problem is that he's at one stage of a larger music festival so I could run into someone there to see someone else.

Not sure I can divulge, I'm seriously embarrassed

seriously?  how many singers have a name in common with a dinner entree?  :)

I do like me a little manilow - I put together a vocal jazz concert in high school and we called it a night at the copacabana.

I had to think about it, see my reply above!

As far as Manilow, I bought my mom tickets to his show 4 years ago and I ended up going with her because her friend bailed out. I have to say he actually put on a pretty damn good show!

  • I'm sorry, nothing is as bad as Bieber. Meatloaf is totally no big deal! Go! Have fun. :)
  • I love meatloaf (hate it for dinner) but I saw him back in college. He put on a great show. You should see him!
