Does anyone have any experience with this? The measurements taken at my past two appointments have measured 2 cm ( = 2 weeks) ahead of my gestational age. So, on Monday I was 28 weeks, but my fundal height was 30 cm. My dr. isn't too concerned and she said it is within the 'normal range' which is +/- 2 cm. However, I had measured exactly on target when I was PG with C.
My dr. said it may just mean that I will have a larger baby (C was 8 lbs 2 oz). Granted, he was 10 days late, so he 'baked' a little longer.
If I continue to measure ahead, my dr. said that she will want to do an ultrasound.
Has anyone ever measured ahead? If so, did you have a larger baby? Or did you deliver earlier? I don't want to get my hopes up about possibly delivering earlier given my experience with C ;-P
Re: Fundal Height Measuring 2 weeks ahead?!?!
Dude, totally doesn't count when you have 2 of them in there! Nice try though ;-P
Fundal height measurements are notoriously inaccurate. It all depends on how the person is carrying. It makes sense that your second pregnancy would have a larger FH measurement because typically the bump is bigger (and shows sooner) the second time around (I blame those pesky ab muscles that never fully recovered from the first round).
FWIW, u/s measurements can be equally deceiving. DD measured 2-3 weeks ahead the entire time, and she was just long and had a big head, which combined to throw off the computer model.
I'm sure it's nothing at all!

Oh, mcgee, I was hoping I wouldn't hear from you! Please don't take that personally, though ;-) Yikes! This makes my vajayjay ache.
HAHAHAHA. Believe it or not, it was an awesome birth, and it wasn't nearly as scary or horrible or painful as you might think. My lady bits came through it just fine.
Odds are highly against you having a baby as big as Alex was, but if you somehow manage to top break the 11 pound mark, we'll have to start a special club or something. I'll make an award for you.

Maybe it means that this baby will actually show up on time. Just sayin'.
This was the same as my mother. they didn't measure as well, but my brother was not quite 11. She said he was the easiest to deliver because he came out so fast.
I'm pretty sure my measurements were off because I gained a million pounds and I carry my extra weight in my stomach anyway.

MMT - wishful thinking right???
Wow, this has me worried too. So much for the second one coming earlier, huh? I'm glad to hear it was an easy birth though. That definitely gives me hope! :-)
