halfassed (VENT)

I am SO sick of my DH doing everything SO half assed. As in, since it was raining he didnt feel the need to take the bag of trash down the 3 steps this morning, so he left it on the porch. Therefor when I let the dogs out to pee...they ransacked the trash and guess who gets to pick it up in the rain. UGH. Or yes, its very nice of him to make dinner... but when he does dont worry its usually something frozen that you just need to microwave in a steam bag or something. But if you offer to take away the dishes from the table, SCRAPE THEM OFF before leaving them to sit in the sink full of nasty smelly cold food. I know I seem very unappreciative right now i just dont care.
Screw dinner I want egg foo young!

  • I've noticed that the chores that MH is in charge of now that I'm pregnant, are nowhere near as important to have done now that he has to do it.

Now apparently the litter box never stinks except once a week, and the bathroom isn't gross at all.

Agreed! I wouldn't hold back on telling him how you feel!  Little things like that make a big difference.

  • HA, mine too!  I've been joking around with DH lately that he does everything "90 percent" (even though it's more like 60 percent, but I don't want to be a nag).  He does the dishes, but leaves the pots and pans.  He does the laundry, but doesn't fold it until I'm home to help.  He cleans the bathroom floor and the toilet, but not the sink, tub, or mirror.

I love him and am so appreciative for the help, but I think his momma just spoiled him and he's not used to picking up the slack.  Now I just laugh and say "90 percent" every time I want to point out his lazyness, hoping he realizes I don't actually find it all that funny...I just don't want to be a nag!

  • Sometimes all you need to do is tell them, then they notice you are paying attention and will do better. I know that is true in my case, just like a little boy, seeing what they can get away with.
