LO is 10 months, and had to have a follow up hearing test today(passed with flying colors)...so while we were there we decided to stop in the NICU to see if any of his old nurses were there, or if anyone would remember us. We didn't think that would cause it has been 8 months since he left the NICU and well, they have so many babies. We ran into our favorite nurse, and she remembered! Then we ran into the neonatologist who discharged him, and she remembered him, as well as where we lived, and the specifics that caused Noah to stay in the NICU (A's and B's). It was so nice to see them, and have them remember, and see how much he has grown. He was born at 2.4lbs and is now 19.4, and is a strong healthy boy...no one would ever guess he was a preemie.
It was a nice visit! But also brought back sooo many memories as we walked passed the rooms w/ all the new lil ones.
Re: 8 month's post nicu discharge
Of course they remembered you! The nurses in my NICU talk about babies who passed through their NICU years ago.
Congrats on passing the hearing test!
