We only put hats on when the babies were in the NICU still learning how to regulate their body temp. Now that they have that down, there is no need for a hat. It is just as bad to overheat a baby as it is to have it too cold...

We only used a hat for sleeping when at the hospital and that was only the first night. She hates hats. And screams bloody murder when I try putting them on her no matter the fabric. I tried crocheted ones, Gerber 0-6 month ones, she gets super angry no matter what.

We keep it cold in our house, so he's always wearing hats. He doesn't mind them at all. He doesn't wear them outside though. I'm in AZ, so it's getting really hot here.
