The neighbors moved YAY NBR

I've posted previously about my neighbors who party all through the night - EVERY NIGHT and how we've been having trouble getting sleep as a result, even though we've called the cops multiple times and they've tried to get them to quiet down.

Well, the cops had been telling us that they were planning to move out in a couple days and it turned out to be true! Yaay! The landlord has been over there for the last two days assessing the damage (extensive) and removing all the belongings they left behind. (I think they are on trip number four to the dump).

I feel kinda bad for the landlord - she had been trying to sell the house last year and wasn't successful and ended up renting it out.  I suspect the damage will end up costing a LOOOOT of money. Hopefully insurance will cover it. That said, I am SO glad they are finally gone! They were AWFUL!

    Lucky!  I am in the same situtation and hope they decide to move.  I was telling DH next house we buy we aren't going to buy one next to a rental!  Ugh

    Congrats on finally being able to say good bye to your neighbors! Now I just wish my neighbors would move...

    Our neighbors moved this fall and their house is still empty! We were glad to see them go, they had really loud kids (I mean like SCREAMING all the time)  and they were the neighborhood hang out for all the other kids.  They all ran through our yard all the time (even though it was fenced in) and yelled at our dogs.  Our neighborhood is so much more quiet since they left!  And the house on the other side of us has been empty since DH and I moved in (bank foreclosure), I love having no neighbors!  Congrats on getting rid of the thorn in your side!

    I had really loud neighbors and they moved out too! YAY for that.

    Also the new neighbors have been decidedly more quiet in comparison! YAY!

    And at my last house we had some CRAZIES living next door and they stopped paying rent and just left one day. When the landlord came to check out the house they had a few trips to the dump too, extensive damage, found CRACK PIPES in the kitchen, and the FAMILY hadn't been paying for trash pick up either, they would instead dump all their trash behind their fence in a ditch (so the landlords had to pick up months and months worth of decomposed trash from behind the house).
