So, I was having cramping feelings so I called and eventually went to see my dr. They did an Ffn. Those results will be back tomorrow. While I was there, I told her I had a headache that hadn't gotten any better after 2 extra strength Tylenol. She took my BP, which was 122/78. It has normally been around 140/85, so I was happy that it was lower. Dr. ended up ordering a 24-hr urine collection to check my protein levels.
I'm scared out of my mind right now. I still have the headache and I've started the urine collection. I had pre-e with Lizzie. DH and I have previously decided if I get pre-e again, this will be our last. We've already had 2 other health scares in this pregnancy (heart issue and the Ffn we're still waiting on). I know we won't know anything else until Friday at the earliest, but the possibility of having it again scares me, especially with a LO running around. My mom is coming down next week to help me b/c DH is starting a new job and he'll have the only functioning car.
Has anyone else been diagnosed/ heard of being diagnosed with pre-e despite no high BP?

I hope it isn't pre-e.
I have had headaches that last several days as well, but that doesn't mean pre-e. I wouldn't worry just yet. Wait until you get your urine results.
Have you tried taking a Sudafed/allergy medication?
I have to take my BP twice a day because we have been getting "higher" readings and I have had some headaches as well these past few days. I took a Sudafed yesterday and it helped immediately. A lot of times headaches can be caused by sinus/allergy issues.
Also, I know every doctor is different but I asked about going on BP meds today because I have already been on bedrest for 12 weeks (due to a shortened cervix....) and I made my goal of 28 weeks today to get some more privileges. So, now that we are dealing with possible BP issues I am upset. Anyways, my OB said that (at least in my practice.....), they don't start worrying until the numbers get closer to 160/110.....I know that seems really high, but she said even my numbers which have been running in the 130's/90's are not concerning right now. I don't have protein in my urine and I'm not swelling (so no other signs....).
GL!
I hope your fFN test comes back negative (I have them every 2 weeks as well.....) and that your urine doesn't have any protein in it.
The highest my BP ever got was 140/100 and I was diagnosed with pre-e. I think my doc was concerned b/c my BP had never been higher than 115/70 and suddenly went up to 130/90, then 140/100. I delivered the day the reading was 140/90, but I was 37 1/2 weeks and dilated 5 cm already so I was well on my way already. Feel better! GL!
Oh, forgot to mention that I blew up like a balloon too...swelling EVERYWHERE - face, hands, ankles, etc. Very pretty!!!!
I had taken 2 extra strength tylenol already and it hadn't helped. The protein at the doctors office was a little high, but not much. If you take an average of my BP this pg its aroun 140/92. I think they're just being cautious b/c of the severe pre-e I had last time. I wasn't swollen at the office, but I'd been in the recliner all morning. If I'm up and around, I do swell.
I know I shouldn't worry till I know, but this panicky feeling won't leave me alone. I guess I will just have to wait it out.
Thanks. Hope you get good news from ur doc.
