Daddy board? [clicky poll]

Hi, all.

So, FI asked me tonight if there's a daddy board on TB. I searched high and low and, sure enough, there doesn't seem to be anything catering to dads at all.

I joined TB because of a lack of support from family and friends, and I can't imagine this is a "woman only" issue. So, what are your thoughts?

    I picked SS. I think it's a good idea in theory, but I highly doubt men would start coming on TB just b/c of a board for daddies. I'm sure there'd be a few, but the site overall is very clearly geared toward women. Plus, if they added the board, it'd be tough to get rid of it, even if it was super slow. So I'd support giving it a try, but I'm not sure it'd work.

    This exactly.  I know that my husband would never frequent a Daddy Board.  It just isn't his style or preference.

    My DH doesn't "hang out" on message boards, especially ones about pregnancy and parenthood. He would never use it...LOL

    This, and as someone who has seen a "daddy" hanging around these parts, I would be concerned it may attract creepers more than anything else, which is not really what I want when I am discussing discharge and mesh panties.

    This. We talk about a lot of "woman issues" on these boards and it's really weird to think that there would be a bunch of men on here.

    I would also love a daddy support board. FI was actually just complaining about that the other day.
    February 19, 2010- BFP! March 14, 2010- M/C January 17, 2011- BFP! April 26th, 2011- It's a boy! Due September 20, 2011 May 2, 2011- Confirmed Gastroschisis August 7, 2011- Labor begins August 12, 2011- Max is born October 4, 2011- Max comes home!

    It's a good idea, but I honestly can't see DH or any of our Daddy friends "blogging and tweeting" (as my DH puts it).

    And also, you'd have to have men lobby for the board. A bunch of women asking for a board for their DH's to use is kind of silly.

    Not that my DH would come here anyway.

    i fully support it, but it doesnt matter, thebump recently put out a no men allowed rule in the tos. thebump is now strictly for women only.

    well that's a little stupid of them--do they realize they are running a public message board, and have NO way of enforcing that rule? I have no doubt that there are a lot of male lurkers on these boards...especially the Sex board on TN

    I actually read the ToS, and it very specifically says "parents", not "women" or "moms." It's just about the least restrictive pronoun there is.
