Facebook Pet Peeve

I understand that most people probably don't care about this, so I'm not trying to harp on anyone here. I just need to vent.

I have a friend who keeps tagging me in my own pictures. Um, hello?! I posted the damn thing in my album .... I don't need it showing up twice! I am aware, as is everyone on my friends list, that I am in that picture.

And another one ... an old friend from high school keeps taking pictures of printed pictures from when I was a teenager, uploading them, and tagging me in them. In some of them, I'd clearly been drinking. I'm already emberassed that that is me. I don't need drunk pictures of me as a teenager on the internet. Besides it being illigal, I don't need it on Facebook where my grandmother and the whole rest of the world (including my daughter someday possbily) can see! WTH is wrong with her? So I UNTAGGED myself and she sends me a nasty email. I ignored the email, and she RETAGGED me today. If I delete her, she can't tag me anymore, right?

You are correct, she can't tag you if you're not a 'friend'.

(assuming that's not a settings option now)

Wow. You have some whackadoo FB friends. I don't know if she can still tag you or not if you defriend her, but I'd do it anyway.

It used to be that once you untagged yourself from a photo, you couldn't be re-tagged. That stinks that someone can re-tag you again. I would definitely unfriend her...she sounds nutty and then you won't have to worry about being tagged in high school photos! (Which is the WORST thing on FB. Ugh!)

Oh that may still be the case about retagging ... technically, they were seperate pictures, but essentially the same thing. I believe they were from the same trip, maybe even the same night, just different pictures. Either way, it made me mad!

WTH is wrong with your friend that she wouldn't understand why you don't want these pics up for the whole world to see? That is just ridiculous. What argument could she possibly give you in her nasty message?? Delete! Delete! Delete!

That's awesome.

I tag myself in some of my own pics so they show up on my profile page- I hated the ones that were up there. That's funny that people would tag you in yours, though.

If I could either access FB from work, or be able to post from my phone I would totally C&P a "friend"s posts. They're so much fun.

she can't *tag* you, but she can still write your name in there, even if you aren't friends (i recently tagged my garden photo w/ the types of plants...and we're not friends).

LOL, that I was being a drama queen and just trying to cause a fight. Yes, a fight with someone I haven't seen in 9 years. I didn't say anything to her, I just removed the tag! Anyways, she is DELETED! Smile I should have listened to my gut when I originally got her friend request. I thought it was suspicious, but I accepted out of curiousity to see her page, haha.

I *think* you can change the settings so your friends can't tag you in pictures.

FCB ... I totally get trying to get rid of the first tagged pictures on your profile! Not a bad idea at all! I do think there's an option somewhere though to remove certain ones just from showing up on your profile in that banner of pictures.

Ugh! She sounds like one of my friends! I have a friend who tagged me in one of the picture my picture that a different friend took and then posted it on her own wall! So weird! I didn't say anything then but last week I posted my 19wk bump pic and she posted that pic on her wall!! For all her friends to see! I was livid and asked her to take it down. Then I rechecked my privacy settings to make sure that it couldn't happened and hopefully I fixed it, but I seriously thought that was creepy!

I would defriend if I were you.
