Bananas a little after he turned 4 mos - he HATED it at first. After the 4 day allergy trial period we moved on to sweet potatoes which he loved. He eventually started to like bananas if you were curious.
We did sweet potatoes first then the week after we did green peas and she hates green peas. I'm glad we did sweet potatoes because she loved them and I couldn't get the spoonfulls in her mouth fast enough.
We started with carrots because it was the first recipe in my baby cookbook. DS loved them! Then we tried sweet potatoes I made which were a little too thick for him at first. Since then we've tried a ton: Broccoli, peas, green beans, butternut squash, etc.
Carrots. I heard its better to start with veggies b/c fruits are sweeter and babies might reject the less-sweet veggies after they've had fruits. Carrots are one of my favorite vegetables so I started with that.
We did avocado, then sweet potatoes, then pears, then bananas and now apples.
DS has acid relux and milk protein allergy, and had torticollis, used to EP,
now we FF .

Apples, followed quickly by pears (both big faves and easy on her tummy). She's had bananas, prunes, and peaches too. Also oatmeal, barley, and rice cereal. Oatmeal is by far the fave though. Barley is yummy in her book, but causes constipation. Carrots and peas are next!

It doesn't matter. My son didn't like sweet potatoes and liked green beans. WEIRDO! His first fruit was prunes, then sweet potatoes, then peas, then green beans. and then I don't remember.
This too. They just looked the least disgusting out of the options. Hah.
Sweet potatoes here too - I had them in the house. Then carrots. For fruit, apples, pears and peaches. Bananas were a no go. Avocado is up this weekend.
We've been through so many fruits& veggies now it's tough to remember... (I have it written down at home though so it will go in DD's book)... I think the first was sweet potato, followed by avocado, apple & banana.

LO was having some problems with hard stools, so the doc recommended we start with the "P" foods. The foods that start with the letter P are supposed to make them poop.
So, we started with peas, then had pears and peaches, and we are on sweet potatoes now. She has loved everything so far.
We did sweet potatoes first. I had read they have a low risk of allergy so wanted to start on a positive note. She loves them and squash. Sweet peas? Not so much...

Re: What was the first veggie or fruit you gave LO?
First fruit - bananas
First veggie - steamed carrots
They were both on hand, no other real reason.
This too. They just looked the least disgusting out of the options. Hah.

M hated green beans until we started mixing meats with it. Now she will eat anything if it has a meat mixed in.

Sweet Potatoes were first followed by avacado, bananas and then butternut squash.
I need to start her on something else today or tomorrow- I am thinking either mango or peaches.
