on birthday gifts for your friends kids? We have a 1st birthday for a friend coming up this weekend and I purchased an outfit from Baby Gap, and two books. I didn't want to get a big toy because they have a small apartment. Does this seem like enough? I don't want to go overboard but don't want to see seem cheap either. What do you typically spend?

I like to keep it around $30.00. DH will usually spend around $50.00 if I leave it up to him.

This is the first year I have any friends with kids so I don't know haha My best friend's son is obviously getting more and then I have people who are friends from work but not "see you every weekend" friends. There are about 5 of them who will turn 1 this spring/summer so I'll probably spend about $25 on each or I'll broke!
