How dilated/effaced were you before you started contracting regularly?

    4 cm and 50% a week before I went into labor. Was 2 cm for 2-3 weeks before that.

    I wasn't anything at 36 wks and 2 days when I had an internal but my water broke five days later and DS was born forty hours after my water broke.

    I was 5.5 and 90%, the dr wouldn't let me go home, he said he was concerned I would have the baby on the side of the road, so he broke my water (of course dd ended up being breech, so I had a csection)  I just wonder how dilated you can get without labor.

    I was 2.5cm, 60% 4 days before my water broke. When I checked into the hospital (45 min after my water broke and before contractions started) I was 4 cm, 70%.

    BFP # 1- DS ~ TTC #2 since Jan. 2012 - BFP # 2 - "Baby Elsie" - Blighted Ovum - D&C August 22, 2012 at 7w3d, BFP # 3 - CP - December 30, 2012, BFP # 4 - CP - March 19, 2013 ~ First RE Appt. 4/24/13 Med cycle #1: 50mg Clomid and Trigger shot = BFN. Med. Cycle #2: 6 cysts found. No meds/rest cycle. Trying on our own = BFP # 5! Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 129 Beta #3 = 94 - CP - July 2, 2013. BFP # 6! Beta#1 = 21, Beta#2 =58 Beta#3 = 134. U/S shows heartbeat of 142 at 7w2d!

    I was 1cm dialted and 75% effaced that morning at my appointment. I went into labor that very night.

    @ 36wks I was 3cm and 50%

    @ 38 weeks 4cm and 80%

    Went into "labor" at 38wks and 6 days.. only went to the hospital b/c I was having some bleeding and a tad bit of pressure.. I was 6cm and I think 90% when I actually started having real contractions, consistently.

    I was contracting irregularly for a full week, at my 38 wk appt I was high and closed...the appt was a Thursday, I had her that Sunday.

    I was 2 cm and 70% effaced at my 9:00 am appointment.  Started contracting regularly at 3:00 that afternoon, DS was born at 7:30 that night.

    At 38wks, 5 days I was 4 cm and 80% effaced.At 39 wkd, 4 days, I was 5 cm and 90% effaced.My water broke at 40 wks, 5 days, and full blown labor contractions started up 45 minutes later. I was 7 cm when they checked me a couple hours after my water broke.

    3cm, 80% - for 3 weeks :)  I ended up going in for a scheduled induction, but happened to be in labor anyway (although I didn't know it).... however I still needed pitocin to help things along.

    from week 36-38 I was 1 cm no effacement. Then at 39 weeks I had him. Never made it to my next appt. Everyone thought I was going to need to be induced.

    I was not dilated or effaced one day (roughly 36 hours) before my water broke.  My contractions very lightly started the next morning after water breaking at 7p, but I was not able to wait to see what the contractions would have done to dilate/efface me further as I was given pitocin.
