Did your doc ask you this?

When I first POAS, I called my regular doctor immediately and made an appointment.  I didn't know what the process was but she had me pee on her stick and came back in the room and said.  "You are definitely pregnant...how do you feel about this?"

 Was anyone else asked this?  I feel like she was trying to feel out how to direct how she would handle everything else we talked about.  Or was that a weird question for her to ask?

    Actually I do think my doc asked me that... now that I think about it, it does seem kind of weird, but I suppose she's probably met her fair share of 'oh god I can't do this' people who are terrified and don't want her assuming they're super stoked (thus making them feel bad, I guess?).

    Ha, mine didn't ask that but I never went in to POAS either. I peed on enough at home that it was evident I was def. pg. I just called and made my first appt.

    I had to fill out a questionaire and one of the questions was what your ideal titming would have been for this pregnancy: 1) prefer it sooner, 2) just right or 3) prefer it later.

    I was not asked that.  However, I had been to my OB about 3 weeks earlier to meet him (we moved, so it was a new dr) and told him we were going to be trying to get pregnant.  He told me I couldn't come back for a year unless I was pregnant (I'm 25, he wouldn't do anything earlier).  So when I showed up, he knew I would be happy to be pregnant.
