My speeding neighbor followup

So I come home from work today and sitting in the middle of the counter is a nail. Pretty big, like a 2 inch nail. I ask DH why we have a random nail on the counter and he says he found it under his windshield wiper this morning on his truck. He parks in the driveway bc there isn't enough room in the garage with my car and his bike stuff and dd's outdoor toys bc his truck is so big.

I'm so pissed bc I hate confrontation and I just knew there was going to be retaliation. So this means they came on to our driveway (dh parks up by the house). It didn't damage anything bc dh saw it before even driving. But still, I am not exactly mad at DH bc I do think people speed and it is dangerous. But I am just not happy to be in this situation. I just hope this is the end of it.

Does this idiot not know what your dh does for a living? I too hope it's the end of it, what a jerk. Our neighbors have been known to kick playground balls at cars that speed by on our dead end street....golf balls too!

Oooh, the golf balls would piss me off! That could actually kill someone if it hit them right. Not to mention scare the driver and cause an accident.

The thing is.....I don't know about your neighbors, but these are adults. I mean their are teens that speed by, but the ones that dh happened to yell at were adults. The guy was like "I know how to drive safe, I have an 8yr old son" or something like that. I would guess they are in their 30-40 yrs old. I don't want to excuse teenagers, but I also think teenagers just do stuff and don't think about their actions. These people are adults and parents themselves. It is just ridiculous.

And no, I don't think they know. In the middle of the argument I heard DH say something like "oh, you want to see my ID" but who knows.

holy sh... that is scary.

My DH confronts people and calls them out on stuff, but it is scary because you never know how people will react..

Hopefully this is the end of it..

Oh my god what a piece of work! I wish you could prove it was him and get him on trespassing or something. Like you said, I hope it's the end of it. That would make me so mad, and a little worried. Keep us posted!

That's kinda scary to have someone come on your property like that. It sounds like that don't have any sense of boundaries-or respect for the law. I hope that this is the end of it and you don't have any more trouble with them. Good luck!

Ugh that stinks. That is why I am always fearful of calling out people on our street. Luckily there is another neighbor who is much more quick to call the cops if there is a speeding/noise issue.
