How did solids go?

We started this weekend!  I made carrots, and they loved them and wanted more.  Can't wait to continue with solids.  :)

    sorry to butt in...I thought carrots were something to introduce after 7-8 months due to nitrates (especially for us mommies making baby food).  My pedi also said this...did your pedi have different advice?

    I did not use the water used for steaming when pureeing.  I've been told by a pedi that carrots are a good first food.

    J had carrots at about 4.5-5months and they didn't break him. He LOVES carrots. SO unlike his mother lol

    Haha!  DH and I joke that we are making them eat everything we don't like (we aren't veggie eaters).

    BTW - I went to pedi yesterday (M is sick) and she said that 1) we need nitrates, just not the amount used in canned items, and 2) the nutrients released in the water outweigh the nitrates so to actually use that water.
