BOB books

Where do I start?  Set 1 or Pre-reading skills? 

Ben knows his letters & all his letter sounds.  He pretends to read and has a couple stories memorized (or 80% memorized).

 So I'm thinking Set 1: Beginning Readers.

    We just finished set 1. She didn't need the other set first. Set one reviews the sounds for each book. She really caught on to sounding out words

    Get both from your library and see what he's ready for.  I wouldn't buy them.  My kids lost interest in them pretty quickly, I'm still annoyed I bought them.

    DS loves them, but it did take a little bit to get into them, we are now on set 3,, I would start with set one, and have him do a lot of rhyming.

    We started with set 1 beg. readers and she was finished in a week.  LOL
