**TTT**

Another recipe question (you're popular today!): on the spicy beef sandwich slow cooker recipe you gave me a while back, do you keep the pepperoncinis in at the end, or do they just flavor the beef while it cooks? How spicy is it? Will it be appropriate for Jonah, or will it be too spicy (he has eaten pepperoni, turkey pastrami, and jalapenos, if that helps)?

  • I'm butting in, but spicy beef sounds yummy and actually sounds like something DH will eat (he's worse than most children). Do either of you care to share?

  • We do keep them in. DH usually avoids putting a ton on his sandwich(es), but I LOVE heat, so I load my sandwich with them. As far as being too spicy for Jonah...if he eats (and likes) jalapenos, the beef probably won't phase him. However, if you want to play it safe, maybe just use half the jar of pepperoncinis (for every 3-4 lbs of beef). I usually use a full jar for a 3lb cut of chuck roast, and it's been known to make (weak) noses a little runny, but nothing terrible. J doesn't really care for red meat, so he doesn't usually eat much (if at all) when we make it, so I can't give a true toddler comparison.

Yes! It's SO delish (and I'm not even a huge fan of red meat), and it's SO easy!

    pepperoncini beef

NOTE: We always remove the pepperoncini stems (just pull them out) before tossing them into the crock pot.
