Selling a house, buying a house, husband's green card got screwed up by the US Immigration, six months pregnant, 10 month old daughter, .....
I need a vacation.
Anyone one of these things would drive me batty normally but combined I just feel beaten down! I keep telling myself in six months it will all be over and I will be able to enjoy my family. That's all that is holding my sanity at this point.

Re: Quick Vent
He got his green card through marriage. They sent it in the mail and we didn't think anything of it but it said 10 years. Well apparently he should have been given a 2 year provisional (which we thought he had anyway) so after the two year provisional time we submitted our paperwork (like good, tax paying, legitimately married people!) and it sent up red flags. Turns out they had him as having a 10 year, which they shouldn't have given him. How that is OUR fault, I don't know.
So they took his greencard (four days before we left for England) and put a temp one in his passport. Also, they won't forward any mail to us in Cincy so we had to call off our forward and have my parents pick up our mail every other day (because they have nothing better to do).
We got back from England and there is a letter from USCIS asking him to send in his greencard- OH YOU MEAN THE ONE YOU MADE HIM SURRENDER IN LOUISVILLE TWO WEEKS AGO???
So we call and they won't tell/help or do anything except we have to send a letter in with any "verification" to this address and wait to hear something. MEANWHILE our house is under contract and if it closes we will have to put our forwarding address in and do GOD ONLY knows what to get USCIS to send us mail to the address here.
THey acted like he should have known they gave him the wrong card and he should have alerted them immediately. Uh- because we are so knowledgeable about the inner workings of a huge government entity like immigration?
VENT OVER (I had two corn dogs and a bowl of oreo ice cream for lunch- poor Calvin is going to be on a sugar high!)
No because we just got the response to the buyers request for repairs. Once they approve that we will make the change of address form. Not excited because they made it sound like we would have to switch field offices and that wouldn't necessarily be easy. UGH!
