Do the tatas ever return to "normal" size?

I'm wondering if I should just toss all my XS and S button up shirts and start buying medium for the rest of my life?  I'm wearing one today with a shell over it, but it's comical underneath with all the gaping between buttons and I'm pretty sure I'll pop a button today it's so tight.  But, will the ladies eventually return to a smaller shape after BFing or will they forever be clown size?

Well, my boobs returned to my pre-pg size...even slightly smaller and saggier (if that was possible for barely an A!).  I got rid of a lot of my smaller shirts but that was because my belly wasn't fit for small shirts anymore, not my boobs.  Doing WeightWatchers for a while helped, but I fell off the wagon and am in my bigger shirts again.  I just put my small clothes in a rubbermaid container for a while and re-evaluated post-pg (and breastfeeding if that affects you).

  • I was an A-cup pp, and they did return back (after topping out a D!), but they were a little "sadder" than before.

For me though, the chest fit fine in my old shirts, but for some reason they all were shorter - like I had to wear a camisole underneath unless I wanted to have a midriff shirt.  Which trust me, was not attractive.

Some people return totally to normal though, so if you have storage space, I'd just hold on to them just in case.

  • mine are bigger than before jax, but not very pretty.  BUT, I still wear small/xs in shirts and stuff.  they def don't look bigger.
  • I was an A before getting pg, went to a C during both pregnancies and bf (w/ Ethan), and then I returned back to an A...I'm actually slightly smaller now, too.  It's crazy what pregnancy and bf will do to the tatas.

  • Mine got back down to their pre-preg size, even a little smaller once I quit breastfeeding. The problem though, is now they are super saggy, not perky like they once were :o(

  • Yes, they will return to normal size, but they will sag to your knees. It's a sad story.

This!  All my pre-preg shirts seem so short to me.

  • The returned to normal (A cup) after Gavin but they got much bigger this time w/ Sophie than the first time so I'm curious to see what happens after I wean. But I did go up a shirt size bc of my tummy and the crop issue mentioned above.

  • Mine went back, but it is like someone played a joke on me and hemmed all of my shirts. It is so freaking weird.
  • Ditto pp's. I was a nice perky C before kids...got up to a EE both times I was pg, and after I weaned the last time I am barely a B. I would hold on to your shirts just in case!

  • Thanks Ladies!

I've been slowly packing up stuff in those air-tight bags and putting them into storage bins for the attic, but I was starting to wonder if it's worth on some of the items.  But yes, I'd rather just deal with it afterward.  Because trying on all my pp clothes post-baby just seems like so.much.fun one day Stick out tongue

And shirts magically getting shorter?  Man, just when I think I've heard everything I need to know about pregnancy....along comes something else out of left field!
