Bath Update

So Aaron has still been screaming and carrying on prior to/during his baths the last two weeks. But the other day, DH had the brilliant idea of streaming Donald Duck videos on his phone. It did distract him and we managed quick baths.

Tonight was even better.  He didn't cry and watched the video. When it ended, he actually sat down in the water and began playing with his stacking cups. So I don't know if he's back to being OK with the bath, but it was a major improvement.

We'll see on Wednesday how he does. (We bathe every other day due to dry skin.)

Re: Bath Update

  • Yay! Whatever works, right? We got M some foam letters and Sponge Bob squirty things to try to distract him. He was kind of slow to respond, but he was dazed enough to give us about 30 seconds of scream-free bath time.

Now he's over the screaming and is stoked squirting H and I. Beats all the yelling.

  • Yes to baby steps.  Hopefully soon you will be forcing him out of the bath.

Robyn, that is great news!  I am glad Aaron is getting through the bath issue.  Matty loves pictures of babies so maybe if we show him videos of babies he will be distracted.

  • Oh Robyn, so glad things are looking up.  Its so hard seeing your LO hating something they used to love so much.
