Mastitis.... :(
So I woke up yesterday with what I thought was a clogged duct. I put on a warm wet compress and even took a ridiculously hot shower to try and relieve it with no luck. So I just pumped as usual and went along with the morning. By early afternoon, I was suddenly having the chills so bad I was shivering and my teeth were chattering. So I added a blanket to the bed, gave the baby to DH, and laid down for a nap I woke up soaking wet with sweat. I got up to get something to eat and suddenly felt dizzy, so back to bed I went. I had DH make me a sandwich. The chills/sweat cycle went on all evening and night. We didn't take my temperature because we only have thermometers that we use on my SD or the baby. This morning, my breast was red and hot where the "knot" was. So I called the doc and suggested I may have mastitis. They saw me this afternoon, I STILL had a fever! They gave me some antibiotics that are safe for the baby and told me to continue to pump and if my fever went over 100.4 or my red spot got larger to come back immediately. Turns out I probably should've gone to some doc or emergency room yesterday but oh well.
Moral of the story - if you have these symptoms - go to your doc ASAP!

Hopefully you'll see this! Sorry I've been in the bed trying to recover. YES I had body aches. And I read online that body aches and flu like symptoms are totally part of mastitis. Hope you feel better soon.
