Feedback on my name choice

My brother's name is Ryan. My favorite boy name is Jack. My husbands last name is VERY Irish. So what do you think? Hate, love, like, dumb? Jack Ryan O'Larkin

    that being said, i think names are a very personal choice and i wouldn't care what anyone (other than DH) thought of our name choice(s)

    LOL! Good thing it's a fake last name I used as a sample. I'm not sure negative feedback would dissuade me but it might make me give this more thought.

    I LOVE it! Of course, I'm biased... My nephew is Jack Ryan. It's a fabulous name!
    and don't let people who say it's popular sway you... Jack is classic.. And there is a HUGE difference between popular classic and popular trendy. My nephew is 4 and he is the only Jack in the afternoon preschool (90 kids) there are far more "Jacksons" and "Jaxons" than the classic Jack.

    The first thing I thought of was the Tom Clancy character, but who cares - with Irish names, you can guarantee you're not the only person that comes up when googled! (except saoirse ronan).

    This is one of the things I was wondering about most, the association to the character.

    I'm not Irish, but my husband is, and the combination of my first and (married) last name makes me sound like an Irish barmaid!  And it's never bothered me at all.  I love super Irish names!
